Well, we made it!
After an amazing road trip, Thomas, Rue, and I have landed happily in Tinseltown. We took a week to get settled and although we are still missing a couch (coming soon to an apartment near you...) this place is actually starting to feel a lot like home.
This might sound like a terrible cliche to locals, but I've got to say it anyway: I LOVE Runyon Canyon! For our poor pup, who went from a house and a yard to a studio and a sidewalk, this huge off-leash park is an oasis of exploration, and I'm loving our jogs there.
Venice beach is also INCREDIBLE. I'm sorry Oregonians, I love Cannon, but I sat on the sand and ate a Gyro and stared at the Pacific Ocean...IN JANUARY. I think that's only possible for, like, three weeks out of the year for you guys. I know Oregonians love to hate on SoCal, but someone told me yesterday she thinks it's just because they're jealous. I'm not going to say whether or not I agree with this fact (*cough* it's a serious possibility *cough*) because you know I love you, but, suffice it to say, this place is starting to win me over.
